Monte Lema has over 80 km of marked paths, that immerse you into the green surroundings and peacefulness of the region.

With an altitude of 1624 meters, it is the most grandiose and panoramic peak of the Swiss-Italian corner of Switzerland.
The view from its green terrace encompasses 360 degrees over the valleys of southern Tessin and the Lake of Lugano, as well as the valleys of Luino and the Lake Maggiore.
The impressive scenery stretches from the Grisonese and Bernese Alps to the mountain peaks in Canton Wallis and the panorama extends even to the plains of Lombardy and the city of Milan in Italy.
Monte Lema is an important natural oasis and is a starting point for many fascinating excursions that follow the crest of the mountains and wind across the ridges with impressive views along the entire way.
On Monte Lema the mountain experience can be lived intimately: one can come across herds of Scottish cows, discover abandoned iron mines, taste fresh alp milk, cross wide pastures and breathe in the suggestive atmosphere of the characteristic villages of the Malcantone.
Thanks to its climate and conformation, Monte Lema is the ideal starting point to try the magic of flying with a hang-glider or to go mountain-biking on natural paths and experience riding downhill in complete freedom.
From Miglieglia, a modern cableway takes one up to the peak in just ten minutes. The Restaurant-Hostel offers, with its large terrace, an excellent cuisine, as well as sleeping accommodations for 60 people.
