The Forcora Pass, not far from the Swiss border, is a pass of remarkable landscape beauty. It is for this reason that many sportspeople and skiers began visiting this location as early as the 1930s. Still today, in winter, ski mountaineering is popular here when the snow is in suitable condition.

The green meadows of the Forcara Pass are also popular because they provide a fantastic view of the entire Luino valley area. This is an ideal location for benefiting from fresh and healthy air by walking one of the many tracks that lead to absolutely enchanting viewpoints.

The Forcara Pass can be reached by car, taking a metalled, scenic road that climbs up from the municipality of Maccagno. At the pass itself, there is a large car-park, with sufficient space even for coaches.
